MCHS Tigerettes defeat Watertown with a score of 16-10.
The Macon County High School Tigerettes wins their last regular season game in an Offensive Show down.
The Tigerettes scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first. Morgan Carter hit her first of three homeruns, driving in Abby Shoulders. Trista Jenkins followed with a single to center field. Senior Allyson Shoulders, hit an RBI double, scoring Trista Jenkins. Olivia Belton laid down a perfect bunt scoring Allyson Shoulders. Making the score 4-0, Tigerettes.
Top of the 2nd, Watertown scored 4 runs, making it a tie ballgame, as the Tigerettes went scoreless.
Top of the 3rd, Watertown took the lead, scoring 4 runs once again. This time, the Tigerettes answered back with 2 runs. Senior Allyson Shoulders with a solo home run to start the inning. Olivia Belton hit a single up the middle. She then scored on a ground ball to 2nd, by Makenzie Stafford. Making the score 8-6, Watertown.
Top of the 4th, The Tigerettes stopped Watertown, by going 3 up 3 down. Macon came in hot with the bats, scoring 4 runs. Morgan Carter hit number 2 of 3 homeruns, followed by a single to centerfield by Allyson Shoulders. Madilyn Goodall, Olivia Belton, and Rachel Ritchie all crossed home plate, giving the Tigerettes the lead, 10-8.
Top of the 5, Watertown once again was shut down, by outstanding Tigerette defense. Abby Shoulders started things off with a triple to Right field, then an error brought her on in, for n inside the park homerun. Morgan Carter hit her 3rd homerun of the night. Making the score 12-8.
Top of the 6th, Watertown, narrowed the lead to 12-10, scoring 2 runs. But, the Tigerettes were not done yet, they came in scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th, where they would go on to win 16-10.
