Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball vs. Upperman and White House Heritage

On Monday, September 23rd the Tigerettes traveled to Upperman to battle the Bees. The Upperman Bees were State Tournament Participants last year.

The Tigerettes and Bees played three sets. The Tigerettes held the lead the entire first set. Upperman came back toward the end of the set to close the gap, but the Tigerettes pulled it out in the end with a final set score of 26-24.

The Tigerettes maintained their momentum throughout set two winning with a score of 25-20.


The Macon County Volleyball Tigerettes hosted their third home game of the season last night, September 24th. They played the White House Heritage High School Patriots.

The Tigerettes came out strong. Senior Mattie Butler scored the first point of the game with an impressive spike. The first set was a very close match, but Macon was able to maintain their early lead and win 25-23.

In the second set, the Patriots got an early lead, but the Tigerettes fought hard to bring the 13-23 score up to a final score of 20-25 giving the Patriots a victory.

In sets three and four, the Patriots once again increased and maintained their lead on the Tigerettes. Set three saw an impressive save from Junior Halle Dickens and set four saw a remarkable save from Freshman Macy Meador, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to win either set. The Patriots took set three 12-25 and set four 22-25.

The Tigerettes have another home game this Thursday night, September 26th. Come out and support the Tigerettes!
