Boys Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Senior Night – Macon vs. Livingston


The Macon County Tigers hosted the Livingston Wildcats Tuesday, February 4th.

The MC Tigerettes lead the Livingston Wildcats 14-10 after completing the first period. The Tigerettes continued to play well and increase their lead of the Wildcats. By half time, the Tigerettes had a 17-point lead. The Tigerettes and Wildcats played a very physical game, but the Tigerettes kept the Wildcats at bay with a third period score of 54-29. In the end, the MC Tigerettes defeated the Livingston Wildcats 65-46.

The MC Tigers started off strong leading the Wildcats 17-13 after the first period. Both teams played hard to take the lead during the second period. The Wildcats lead by one at the half. The Tigers struggle during the third period to regain their lead and were trailing 35-43 going into the fourth. While the Tigers tried to keep up with the Wildcats, they fell short with a final score of 45-62.

 

 

Tuesday was also senior night which is a night for Macon County to honor the senior athletes that participate in the basketball and cheerleading program. Senior graduating this May are Keeley Carter, Marah King, Lake Reid, Jamie Ashburn, McKaylee Mix, Brady Flores, Cecilia Cruz, Bryn Hesson, Katie Beth Oliver, and Cameron Mercer.
