The Macon County Tigers took hosted Dekalb County on Tuesday, February 11th.
The MC Tigerettes defeated the Dekalb County Lady Tigers 67-33.
The MC Tigerettes took an early lead with a first period score of 16-12. Macon County maintained their lead throughout the first half 39-20. Despite the Dekalb County Lady Tigers’ attempts to catch up, they couldn’t fill the gap ending the third period with a score of 56-23. The MC Tigerettes continued to lead the Dekalb County Lady Tigers through the fourth securing their 21st win. The Macon County Tigerettes are 21-1 this season with one more regular season game to go.
The MC Tigers defeated the Dekalb County Tigers 58-52 in overtime.
The MC Tigers started off strong with a first period score of 7-5. During the second period, the Dekalb Tigers stepped it up and took the lead leaving the Macon trailing 16-19 at the half. Macon County did not stay behind long; the MC Tigers regained their lead by one point by the end of the third. At the end of the 4th period, the Tigers vs. Tigers match tied up sending the game into overtime. Macon County worked hard and gained a victory over the Dekalb County Tigers earning their 8th win. The Macon County Tigers are 8-12 this season with one more regular season game to go.
